Arkansas Chapter Concrete Research Competition
The Arkansas Chapter, ACI will be holding their Annual Meeting & Awards Program January 16, 2014, at the offices of Baldwin & Shell Construction at 1000 West Capitol Avenue in Little Rock from 11:00 am to 2 pm.
The student activities committee, of the Arkansas Chapter, ACI is inviting all Arkansas colleges & universities with engineering or construction management curriculums to submit a current research project that is related to the concrete industry. This must be a project that is currently being studied by a graduate or undergraduate student. All entries must be submitted by December 6, 2013 to Bryan Powers at email@example.com. Each entry must consist of no more than a two page summary in PDF format, including pictures & graphs that clearly describes the research project, work completed, & any results obtained as of submission date. One winner will be selected by December 17, 2013.
The winning student must be available to attend the annual meeting on January 16, 2014 at the offices of Baldwin & Shell Construction, in Little Rock, to present their project. Presentations should be limited to twenty minutes. An additional ten minutes will be allowed for questions & answers. The student presenting the winning project will be awarded a $500.00 cash prize. The meeting room will be equipped for PowerPoint presentations.
This is an excellent opportunity for students doing research related to the concrete industry to present their projects to producer members & professional community.
